IPC conducts opening of lights – radiates Iloilo City!

Luminous lights at Iloilo Provincial Capitol

Ilonggos gathered at Iloilo Provincial Capitol grounds for the fireworks display and to witness the opening of Christmas lights. Mural in front of the IPC also opened to the public for the first time during the memorable event.

Government officials from IPC and people from different barangays in Iloilo joins the countdown for the fireworks display that lasted for about 7 minutes. Followed by the switching on of the Christmas lights. Prison of Iloilo, beside the Provincial Capitol also illuminated their Christmas decoration.

On the other hand, blessing and inauguration of the Iloilo Provincial Capitol Complex Redevelopment Project also happened earlier in the afternoon.

The wall mural in IPCCRD was unveiled on the same day and is swarmed by the crowd. The mural is called “Panaysayun san Paranoblion” designed by architects Victor Jacinto, Ryan Angelo Braga, Kenneth Torre and Jorge Cadidiao Jr. with sculptors Albert Pampliega and Margarette Pampliega.

Despite the inclement weather the even went on kicking off the spirit of Christmas to the Ilonggos.
